The Center for Divorce Education
CDE has a proven history of providing quality resources to court systems and service providers that work directly with divorcing families. In more recent years, CDE has expanded its services to provide online, skills-based, education directly to families going through the transition of a divorce or separation.
At Our Core, We View Our Mission as Advocating for Children.
To achieve this mission and our stated goals we conduct research and identify the most effective strategies that are proven to help parents reduce their conflict while maintaining a focus on achieving their parental responsibilities. The result is a reduction in the harm caused to children while parents are going through a divorce or creating two separate homes (for never married couples).
The strategies identified by the Center for Divorce Education’s research is based on experimental designs (including randomization), and has been replicated by independent researchers internationally.
With an emphasis on evidence-based practices the curriculum produced and disseminated by CDE has received the highest accolades from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, SAMHSA division, with recognition as a “model program” and listing on the National Registry for Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).
